Built from recycled plastic rather than timber, Dougy RP will not swell, rot or need refinishing when it lives outside or beside the sea. Wet boards, salt spray and direct sun are simply not its problem, and cleaning it is a hosepipe job. It holds four boards horizontally with the same spacing as the birch version, and it is a more sustainable choice than virgin plastic.

Good to know

Recycled plastic expands slightly in direct sun, which is normal and does not affect strength. If you are mounting outdoors, use stainless or galvanised fixings rather than standard steel, otherwise the fixings will rust long before the rack shows any wear at all. Because the material is recycled rather than virgin plastic, it is also the lower-impact choice, and it will never need sanding, sealing or repainting for as long as you own it.
