Good to know

Flat pack means it fits through narrow doorways and up stairs, which is worth remembering if you live in a walk-up. Assemble it in the room it is going to live in, on a soft surface, and tighten everything only once all the joints are seated. The birch ply edge is left visible rather than banded, which is deliberate: it is an honest material and the layered edge is part of why the piece looks considered.
